The Balance Bike World Championships: A Great Day Out for Young Families
If you’ve got a toddler who lives on their balance bike, this might be the highlight of their summer. The Balance Bike World Championships takes place at the Malverns Classic, giving the youngest riders a proper race experience in a fun, friendly setting.
Who can take part?
The races are for little riders on balance bikes, grouped by age so everyone races against children their own size. No experience is needed. Some kids race flat out, some stop halfway to wave at Grandma, and all of them get a cheer.
Why families love it
It’s a first taste of racing with no pressure. The crowd is right behind every rider, and every finisher leaves feeling like a champion.
Not racing? Come and watch
Even if your child isn’t entering, watching the balance bike races is one of the most fun parts of the weekend. It’s also a great way to inspire a nervous rider to give it a go next year.
Make a day or a weekend of it
The races are part of the wider festival at Eastnor Deer Park, so once your little one has crossed the finish line there’s live music, street food, the trade show and plenty of open space to explore. With camping included in a weekend ticket, many families turn it into their bank holiday break.
How to enter
Entries are open now. Your rider needs a race entry, and everyone on site needs a valid festival ticket.
