🕰️ Retro Bike Competition – Entry Info

Entry into this competition is free for all festival attendees.

This competition is open to any BMX manufactured in or before the year 1996 so dust off your vintage ride and show it off!

🏆 Then What Happens?

Bob Haro, Clive Gosling and others (tbc) are your expert judges and will review all entries and narrow the field down to the top 10 bikes, before selecting the top 5 overall winners at 14:00.

Prize money and glory await you, good luck!

📝 How Do I Enter?

Simply bring your old skool bike(s) to the main arena at 11:00 with a rear-wheel bike stand to display your pride and joy.

No pre-registration required, just turn up and join in!

🎁 Is There a Prize?

Absolutely and it’s worth showing off your best old skool build!

The prize fund is an eye watering:

Andrew ‘Doddy’ Dodd and his panel of expert judges will review all entries and narrow the field down to the top 10 bikes, before selecting the top 5 overall winners at 14:00.

Prize money and glory await you, good luck!

THE RULES....

  • 🚲 Retro Show & Shine – Entry Information Entry to the Retro Show & Shine is completely free for all participants! However, please note that you will need to purchase a festival ticket to gain admission to the site.
  • Bring as many bikes as you like!
  • Make sure your bike and all of it’s components are: For BMX, 1996 or earlier For MTB, 2006 or earlier
  • In the true spirit of the Malverns, the competition is open to privateers as we want to award them for their dedication and passion. Bikes owned by manufacturers we feel are at an unfair advantage and would kindly ask that they display their bikes on their own trade/expo stands for everyone to enjoy.
  • Please bring a rear wheel stand to display your bike.
  • You are responsible for your bike and you display your bike at your own risk. We advise you to stand in front of your bike/s with the general public to allow all of the bikes to be viewed. This will also allow you to talk to any admirers of your bike and answer any questions.
  • Once the competition is over for you, we will advise you to exit the arena immediately with your bike and secure it.
  • The judge’s decision is final.
  • The prize fund will be paid by bank transfer within seven days of the event.
